TNS energo Group of Companies invests RUB 50 billion into Krasnodar Territory power industry
On 27 September 2013 Kuban Energy Retail Company, represented by the managing company TNS Energy, concluded an agreement of intent with the administration of the Krasnodar Territory under which the company will invest RUB 50 billion into the construction, within the region, of power generating plants with a total capacity of 900 MW between 2014 – 2019.
The document was signed by Alexander Tkachev, the Krasnodar Territory Governor, and Dmitry Arzhanov, the General Director of the TNS energo Group of Companies. According to the document, the power plants will be constructed in the territories of four municipalities: the Crimean and Temryuk regions, which will be provided with 360 and 180 MW, respectively, and Novorossiysk and Krasnodar (180 MW each).

Kuban Energy Retail Company plans to complete the preparation and approval of the design and estimate documents by 31 December 2015. Prior to 1 July 2015 the company will start the construction of the facilities, which are to be commissioned no later than 31 December 2019.

The project will be financed in several stages. Thus, in 2014 Kuban Energy Retail Company will invest RUB 0.5 billion; in 2015 — RUB 12.5 billion; in 2016 — RUB 15.5 billion; in 2017 — RUB 14.0 billion; and in 2018 — RUB 7.5 billion.

As a result of the implementation of the investment project 2,100 new jobs will be created in Krasnodar Territory.
