Taking part in the press-conference was Roman Lyutikov, the Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs of the JSC Rostov-on-Don Energy Retail Company.
During the press-conference Mr Lyutikov spoke of the indebtedness of the municipal unitary enterprise Upravlenie Vodokanal to the JSC Rostov-on-Don Energy Retail Company, which, as of 10 April 2014, amounted to 114 million rubles.
The second persistent defaulter is the municipal unitary enterprise, Taganrogenergo. The total indebtedness of this enterprise to the Guaranteeing Supplier is more than 170 million rubles. For more than a year the enterprise has not paid for the energy supply to its boiler houses, and its debts have further increased by 13 million rubles. The municipal unitary enterprise Tram and Trolleybus Management and the municipal unitary enterprise Blagoustroystvo also have debts to the Energy Retail Company.
The JSC Rostov-on-Don Energy Retail Company has reminded its consumers that, in accordance with Russian legislation non-payment for electricity may result in sanctions up to the limitation of the electricity supply. To avoid negative social consequences the Guaranteeing Supplier addressed a request to the city administration to intervene in the situation immediately and reminded them of the necessity for redemption of the debt by the municipal unitary enterprises in the very near future.
