TNS energo Yaroslavl starts investment programme for installing automated monitoring and metering of electricity

The main advantage of automating these systems is a significant reduction in maintenance costs for communal facilities in apartment buildings and public sector organizations. Modern meters, remotely transmitting data on kilowatt-hours consumed, remove the need for human meter-readers. Thanks to the automatic system, there is also the possibility of monitoring the power quality. The system will allow tracking of any failures and malfunctions of meters and illegal connections, as well as the option to turn the electricity off remotely, for non-payers.

The programme will last three years. By the end of 2017, automated power meters will have been installed in 87 apartment buildings, and in 425 budgetary institutions.

The regional investment programme will actually be implemented by the guaranteeing supplier, PJSC TNS energo Yaroslavl.
