Alexander Grebenshchikov elected as General Director of TNS energo

The new General Director of the Group will be Alexander Alexandrovich Grebenshchikov, who was elected to the post by a decision of the Board of Directors taken on 21 February 2017.

Mr Grebenshchikov is a graduate of the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering. He started his professional career in the electric power industry in 2001 when he was appointed General Director of the OJSC Tveroblenergo. Then, between 2005 and 2008 he held senior positions in the open joint-stock company, MOEK. From 2008 to 2011 Mr Grebenshchikov was the Minister of Construction, Energy, Housing and Utilities of the Karachaevo-Cherkessia Republic. Following this, in 2011 he headed the Regional Tariff Service for the Rostov region, and between 2011 and 2014 was both the Minister for Industry and Energy and a Deputy Governor of the Rostov region. In 2014 he was appointed as the First Deputy Governor of the Rostov region.
